Microphone Monday

Just some Layla snippets from this week...

Sitting watching Jurassic Park with Daddy, trying to find the scene where "dinosaurs are hiding in the trees."  There's only one of those in that movie, ya know?  According to Daddy that scene leads to the best cuddle time with Layla.  But, here's the funniest comment from Layla, "It's not scary, it's righty-tighty."  Not really sure what she was trying to say, but she does know her left from her right and has also been enjoying the screwdriver work at school, I'm sure they go together, but I cannot make the jump to Jurassic Park nor dinosaurs.

Layla is our early riser, so when she's up at 6:30, well before I'm dressed and ready for the day, she gets to hang out in the bathroom with me while I finish getting ready for the day, most mornings she does her own thing and I don't think she's aware I'm there, but not this particular morning, she was full of questions.  I'm putting on deodorant;  "what's that?"  I'm putting on toner; "what's that?" 
I'm putting on eye shadow; "what's that?" 
Me:  eye shadow
Layla: why's it purple?
Me: because I like purple.
Layla:  well, I like red.  why can't it be red?

Well, I guess yours can be when your twenty years old and wearing that kind of stuff.  Hopefully, it's the style then, but I really just can't imagine.
